Back to overview The 30T2RG is one of the most famous chronometer calibers ever made. It was a finer take on the 30mm manual-wound movement that Omega had released at the end of the 1930s. Very quickly, its precision and reliability made it an ideal candidate for chronometer-certified watches produced from 1941 onwards. Its dimensions were also an important feature, as its diameter was at just the right size to compete in chronometer competitions as a wristwatch caliber, rather than as a pocket watch caliber. Omega went on to unveil several wristwatches throughout the 1940s with a strong focus on the finishing of the in-house calibers (either with small or center seconds), while each of the dials proudly displayed their chronometer qualification. The Omega Chronomètre reference 2364 is therefore a major piece in watchmaking history.
