The partnership between Girard-Perregaux and Ferrari began in 1993, when Gino Macaluso and Luca di Montezemolo met through jeweller Gianni Bulgari. Even before that, they were united by a shared passion for motorsport – as rally drivers in the Fiat Abarth 124 Spider. From this mutual enthusiasm for design and performance emerged the “Girard-Perregaux Pour Ferrari” collection. The first model – a gold split-seconds chronograph (Ref. 9015), limited to 499 pieces – featured the iconic “Cavallino Rampante” and instantly became a collector’s favourite.
